Following the announcement of Dan.com’s retirement by GoDaddy, the company introduced a migration page to transfer domain sales listings from Dan.com to Afternic. Not convinced that the migration would be seamless, I proactively removed all my active listings on Dan.com to avoid any potential confusion during the transition.
The deadline for manually migrating domains from Dan.com to Afternic has passed, and Dan.com has sent emails to customers with unmigrated listings, notifying them that their listings have been automatically migrated. I received this email this morning, which I have shared below.
Since I didn’t have any domains listed for sale on Dan.com, there shouldn’t be anything to migrate. I will reach out to my Afternic account manager, Alex (who has been very helpful), to ensure no changes have been made to my account. I hope he can detect any alterations that may have occurred due to this automatic migration.
